Yeh hai kya?

"Adaptive" word kyun hai? Kyunki yeh divergence alag environments ke adaptation se drive hoti hai, sirf random drift se nahin.

"Radiation" kyun? Kyunki agar tum family tree draw karo, toh lines ek point se bahar ki taraf rays ki tarah phailti hain — ek star burst ki tarah.


YEH kaise unfold hota hai (first principles se derivation)

Tumhe yeh memorise karne ki zaroorat nahin — tum ise natural selection se rebuild kar sakte ho:

  1. Shuruaat: ek ancestral population ek aisi area mein colonise karti hai jahan bahut saare open niches hain (jaise finches Galápagos pahunche).
  2. Variation exist karti hai: individuals mein heritable traits alag hote hain (jaise beak size/shape).
  3. Alag niches alag traits ko favour karti hain: hard seeds ka bada niche bade strong beaks ko reward karta hai; insects ka niche patli probing beaks ko reward karta hai. Toh selection pressure niche ke hisaab se alag hoti haidivergent selection.
  4. Isolation + selection → divergence: alag niches exploit karne wale subpopulations ko alag selection face karna padta hai aur aksar interbreeding bhi kam ho jaati hai. Generations ke saath woh form mein diverge ho jaate hain.
  5. Reproductive isolation: aakhirkar diverged groups aapas mein interbreed nahin kar paate → woh alag species ban jaate hain (speciation).
  6. Result: kai species, ek ancestor, har ek apni niche mein. Yahi hai adaptive radiation.

Toh adaptive radiation = repeated speciation jo khaali niches mein divergent natural selection se drive hoti hai.
