Intuition Ek saans mein core idea
Price zyaada tar time ek range mein band rehti hai (neeche support, upar resistance). Breakout woh moment hota hai jab price finally us range se conviction ke saath bahar nikalti hai. Tum escape ko trade karte ho kyunki ek proven barrier jo toot jaaye, woh aksar naye buyers/sellers ki rush trigger karta hai → ek fast, directional move. Tum essentially yeh bet laga rahe ho ki jo crowd pehle block thi woh ab usi direction mein flood karti hai .
Intuition Psychology ka WHY
Resistance level woh price hoti hai jahan sellers ne pehle buyers ko overwhelm kiya tha. Har baar jab price wahan reject hoti hai, teen groups ke orders pile up ho jaate hain:
Trapped shorts jinhoone resistance par sell kiya tha aur ab loss mein hain → woh cover karne ke liye buy karte hain.
Breakout buyers jo entry se pehle confirmation ka intezaar kar rahe hain.
Stop-loss orders jo short-sellers ne resistance ke thoda upar rakhe hain.
Jab price finally resistance ko pierce karti hai, teeno ek saath fire karte hain → buying ka burst = breakout move. Isliye breakouts self-fulfilling hote hain: barrier khud hi fuel create karta hai.
Breakout price ka woh move hota hai jo support ya resistance ke defined level se bahar jaaye aur saath mein increased volume ho, jo ek naye directional trend ki shuruat signal kare.
Definition Key building blocks
Resistance : ek ceiling price jahan selling bar bar rallies ko rok deti hai.
Support : ek floor price jahan buying bar bar declines ko rok deti hai.
Consolidation / range : dono ke beech ka sideways zone.
Confirmation : evidence ki break real hai (volume, level ke bahar close, retest hold).
False breakout (fakeout) : price level ke paar jaati hai, phir wapas andar snap back ho jaati hai.
Worked example Example 1 — Clean upside breakout
Stock resistance R = 500 , support S = 460 ke saath consolidate kar raha hai. 20-day avg volume V ˉ = 1 , 000 , 000 . Aaj price 506 par 1 , 800 , 000 volume par close hoti hai.
Step — close check karo: 506 > 500 ✅ (Kyun: wick nahi, close hai, toh poori session ne upar buy kiya. )
Step — RVOL check karo: R V O L = 1 , 800 , 000/1 , 000 , 000 = 1.8 > 1.5 ✅ (Kyun: strong participation conviction confirm karta hai. )
Entry E = 506 . Stop broken level ke thoda neeche, L = 496 . (Kyun range ke andar: agar 500 ke neeche dip karta hai toh thesis dead hai. )
Target: range height = R − S = 500 − 460 = 40 , broken level R se project kiya: T = R + ( R − S ) = 500 + 40 = 540 .
RR = 506 − 496 540 − 506 = 10 34 = 3.4 ✅ (Kyun: > 2 hai, toh le lo. )
Worked example Example 2 — Retest entry (tighter risk)
Same setup, lekin 506 par chase karne ki jagah tum wait karte ho. Price 501 tak pull back karti hai aur bounce karti hai (purani resistance = naya support).
Entry E = 501 . Stop L = 496 . Target abhi bhi T = R + ( R − S ) = 540 .
RR = 501 − 496 540 − 501 = 5 39 = 7.8 .
Yeh step kyun? Same target, chhota risk (5 vs 10) → RR double se zyada ho gaya. Retest high-conviction, low-risk entry hai, lekin kabhi kabhi runaway moves miss ho jaate hain.
Worked example Example 3 — Weak breakout reject karna
Price 503 par close hoti hai lekin volume sirf 900,000 hai.
R V O L = 900 , 000/1 , 000 , 000 = 0.9 < 1.5 ❌
Decision: Skip karo. (Kyun: move ke peeche koi crowd nahi → high fakeout probability. Ek bura trade skip karna khud ek winning decision hai. )
Common mistake "Main price resistance ke upar touch karte hi buy kar lunga."
Kyun sahi lagta hai: tum early rehna chahte ho aur move miss nahi karna chahte. Trap: intraday wicks constantly upar poke karte hain aur wapas snap hote hain — tum fakeout ke top par buy karte ho. Fix: level ke bahar candle CLOSE ka intezaar karo (plus volume).
Common mistake "Volume matter nahi karta, price toh price hai."
Kyun sahi lagta hai: chart dekh ke lagta hai ki breakout ho gaya. Trap: low-volume breaks mein crowd fuel nahi hota aur woh reverse ho jaate hain. Fix: R V O L > 1.5 require karo. Participation nahi = trade nahi.
Common mistake "Stop door rakhunga taaki shake out na ho."
Kyun sahi lagta hai: wide stops rarely trigger hote hain, safer lagta hai. Trap: yeh tumhara RR barbaad kar deta hai — same reward ke liye huge risk expectancy kill kar deta hai. Fix: stop range ke thoda andar jaata hai; agar breakout real hai, toh price wahan return nahi karni chahiye.
Common mistake "Measured target entry + range height hota hai."
Kyun sahi lagta hai: tum fill par enter karte ho, toh wahan se range add karna natural lagta hai. Trap: agar tum level se kaafi upar chase karte ho, toh yeh target ko unrealistically inflate karta hai. Fix: ==broken level R == se project karo, yaani T = R + ( R − S ) . Tumhari entry sirf RR ko affect karti hai, target ko nahi.
Common mistake "Jitni zyada baar price resistance ko touch kare bina toote, utna weak hai."
Kyun sahi lagta hai: har baar 'fail' hua. Reality: zyada touches = zyada traders watch kar rahe hain = jab finally tootat hai toh bigger reaction hota hai. Fix: well-tested levels ko stronger signals treat karo, weaker nahi.
Recall Feynman: 12 saal ke bacche ko explain karo
Socho ek bheed bhare room mein sab ek locked door ke peeche phanse hain (yeh resistance hai). Bahut log isko dhakka de rahe hain. Jis moment door khulti hai, SABLOG ek saath bahar nikalte hain aur sab ek hi direction mein daurte hain — fast! Ek breakout trader door ke actually khulne ka intezaar karta hai (level ke paar ek close ) aur check karta hai ki badi crowd daud rahi hai (volume ), phir unke saath daud leta hai. Agar sirf ek aadmi ne door ko poke kiya aur wapas chala gaya, toh woh fake hai — mat daudo.
Mnemonic Checklist yaad rakho:
"L-C-V-E-S" → L evel, C lose, V olume, E nter, S top/target.
"L azy C ats V anish E very S unday."
Breakout kya hota hai? Price ka woh move jo defined support/resistance level ke bahar jaaye, increased volume se confirm ho, aur ek naye directional trend ko signal kare.
Breakouts fast moves kyun trigger karte hain? Trapped shorts covering + breakout buyers entering + stop-losses firing — sab ek saath broken level par activate ho jaate hain.
Breakout real hai yeh kya confirm karta hai (2 cheezein)? Level ke bahar candle CLOSE (sirf wick nahi) AUR above-average volume (RVOL > 1.5).
Relative Volume (RVOL) ka formula? RVOL = breakout volume ÷ n periods ka average volume; > 1.5 require karo.
Breakout price target (measured move) kaise compute karte hain? Target = broken level + range height, yaani T = R + (R − S) upside break ke liye (S − (R − S) downside ke liye).
Breakout trade mein stop-loss kahan jaana chahiye? Purani range ke thoda andar (broken resistance ke neeche); agar price range mein wapas jaaye, breakout fail ho gaya.
Reward-to-risk ka formula? RR = (Target − Entry) / (Entry − Stop); sirf wahi trades lo jahan RR ≥ 2 ho.
RR = 2 ke saath kaunsa win rate break even karta hai? Lagbhag 33% (0.33×2 − 0.67×1 ≈ 0); isse upar kuch bhi profitable hai.
False breakout / fakeout kya hota hai? Price level ke bahar poke karti hai phir range ke andar wapas snap back ho jaati hai, breakout traders ko trap karke.
Retest entry often better kyun hoti hai? Same target lekin tighter stop (entry level ke zyada paas) → higher reward-to-risk.
Zyada resistance touches matlab weaker ya stronger level? Stronger — zyada traders dekh rahe hain, toh break hone par reaction bigger hota hai.
