WHAT are we defining?


WHY do these two ideas matter (and why keep them separate)?

WHY density matters: ye resource competition, disease spread, aur reproduction rate ko control karta hai. Bahut zyada → starvation; bahut kam → mates ek doosre ko dhundh nahi paate (Allee effect).

WHY distribution matters: pattern se cause pata chalta hai — clumping patchy resources ya social behaviour ki taraf ishara karta hai; uniform territoriality/competition ki taraf.


HOW do we derive / measure density?

Aap kabhi bhi har individual ko count nahi karte. Iski jagah aap sample lete ho aur scale up karte ho. Yahan formula build hota hai, memorize nahi.
