Yeh "receptor-mediated" kyun hai? Kyunki trigger aur selectivity dono receptor proteins se aate hain. Ligand bind nahi hua → efficient uptake nahi hogi.
KAISE kaam karta hai — step by step (logic samjho, ratto mat)
- Ligand receptor se bind karta hai. Specific ligand (jaise LDL) cell surface par apne transmembrane receptor se bind karta hai. Yeh step kyun? Specificity provide karta hai — sirf sahi cargo capture hoti hai.
- Receptors ek coated pit mein cluster karte hain. Receptor–ligand complexes ek aisi region mein migrate karte hain jo cytoplasmic side par clathrin se coated hoti hai. Kyun? Clathrin ek basket banata hai jo membrane ko curve hone par majboor karta hai.
- Invagination. Coated pit ek pocket mein aur gehri ho jaati hai. Kyun? Barhta hua clathrin lattice mechanically bilayer ko andar ki taraf modta hai.
- Pinching off (scission). Dynamin (ek GTPase) vesicle ki neck ko wrap karta hai aur, GTP use karke, usse constrict aur cut karta hai → ek free clathrin-coated vesicle banta hai. ATP/GTP kyun? Yeh confirm karta hai ki RME energy-requiring (active) process hai.
